WetterOnline calculates the WeatherRadar data directly, analysing temperature, humidity and other measurements using carefully selected methods and filtering out erroneous readings. The device therefore does not need outdoor sensors.

wetteronline home works worldwide. During setup, the weather display determines your location automatically or lets you enter it yourself. You can select any location worldwide, change the displayed location whenever you like, and choose from previously selected locations under “My location”.

Yes. wetteronline home 4 can display outdoor humidity as well as the humidity in your home. Outdoor humidity and other readings can be shown on the right-hand side of the screen. Choose the information you want under Weather data in Settings. The built-in sensor measures indoor humidity and temperature and shows them at the bottom left. These readings can help with efficient heating and ventilation.

wetteronline home is designed for continuous operation, so no damage is expected. However, we recommend scheduling the display to switch off when it is not needed, as the backlight LEDs become less bright over their lifetime. To help delay this, the display brightness is also reduced slightly after sunset, in addition to the operating schedule. The selected brightness is gradually restored at sunrise.

Power consumption is up to 6.5 W with the display on and 0.85 W in standby. Daily data usage depends on the weather and the operating time. It is approximately 500–1,000 MB a day when the device is active for 17 hours. The default operating hours are 6 am to 11 pm and can be changed easily in Settings.

The device is designed for continuous operation and presents the relevant weather information for your chosen or automatically detected location on a Full-HD display that is easy to read from different angles. You can zoom to choose the radar area. The information remains visible from a distance as you walk past: there is no need to wake the screen or enter a password. The radar and forecast update continuously, with the WeatherRadar image updating every five minutes. WetterOnline calculates the data from available measurements and filters out erroneous readings, so no outdoor sensors are needed. Additional information at the edge of the screen includes wind speed and direction, relative humidity, air pressure, a pollen index, and sunrise and sunset times.

wetteronline home displays warnings for your area when thunderstorms, strong winds, icy conditions or particularly heavy rain are expected. Warnings appear at the top left of the screen in place of the date.

Set your location manually by tapping the red dot in the middle of the screen and entering a place name or postcode. Automatic location detection uses information about your Wi-Fi network through a Google service. If Google has an incorrect location for the network, restarting or resetting the device will not correct it. One common reason is that the router was previously used elsewhere. Manual location selection is a practical solution because wetteronline home is intended for use in a fixed location.

Blue shades indicate rain; pink indicates hail; pink shades with a snowflake indicate snow; orange or red indicates freezing rain; yellow dots indicate lightning; and orange dots indicate high lightning activity. In general, more intense colours indicate heavier precipitation. Page 4 of the manual provides further details.

wetteronline home needs a continuous power supply. It constantly retrieves current, high-resolution images for your selected location over Wi-Fi, so a battery supply is not sufficient. Traditional battery-powered weather stations only receive a transmitted signal and do not request detailed location-specific data or display detailed weather radar.

The package includes the wetteronline home display, a power adapter, a two-metre USB-C cable, a quick start guide and packaging.

A red dot in the middle of the screen marks the selected location. There is no additional setting for highlighting it.

wetteronline home remembers the last three locations you viewed. Tap the red location dot for quick access to location selection. To keep the screen clear, it shows weather readings for only one location at a time. You can search for another location whenever you like.

No outdoor sensors are needed, so precipitation is not measured at your home. WeatherRadar shows current precipitation and its short-term development. WetterOnline calculates the radar data directly, analysing available temperature, humidity and other measurements with carefully selected methods and filtering out erroneous readings.

Yes. Symbols along the bottom of the display show the forecast for the next three days. The weather trend also shows the maximum and minimum temperatures for the next 14 days.

Yes. Tap the time at the bottom of the display to see the zoom control.

Yes. Updates are delivered automatically, without any additional settings. You can also check manually: tap the time, open Settings, choose System and then tap Version.

wetteronline home is available in white and black.

From the second version onwards, wetteronline home can also be mounted on a wall. A separate wall-mounting kit is available from the original shop.
